Ceforanide is a cephalosporin antibiotic. No data on its use in pregnancy have been located.
Breast Feeding Summary
No studies on the excretion of ceforanide into breast milk have been located. Like other cephalosporins, however, excretion should be expected, resulting in three potential problems for the nursing infant: modification of bowel flora, direct effects on the infant, and interference with the interpretation of culture results if a fever workup is required.
