Fetal Risk Summary


Bepridil is a calcium channel blocking agent used in the treatment of angina. No teratogenic effects were observed in rats and rabbits, but at doses 37 times the maximum recommended human dose, reduced litter sizes and decreased pup survival were observed (1). No reports describing the use of bepridil during human pregnancy have been located.

Breast Feeding Summary


Bepridil is excreted in human breast milk with a maximum milk:plasma ratio of approximately 0.33 (1). No reports on the use of bepridil during nursing have been located.
