Fetal Risk Summary
No reports linking the use of anileridine with congenital defects have been located. Usage in pregnancy is primarily confined to labor. Withdrawal may occur in infants exposed in utero to prolonged maternal treatment with anileridine. Respiratory depression in the neonate similar to that produced by meperidine or morphine should be expected (1).
[*Risk Factor D if used for prolonged periods or in high doses at term.]
