What does percocet and vicodin do to you?

I know someone who just had a knee sugrury. And a bit after on his facebook status he wrote ” percocet, vicodin”

what do these drugs do to you?

Vicodin is a painkiller, a la Valium. It’s a depressant, that makes everything around you SO TOTALLY RAD that you forget that you’re in pain from your knee surgery.

I imagine it would be difficult to focus on much of anything, let alone facebook, when you’re taking it.

What would the medical protocol be in a vicodin and percocet overdose?

A friend of mine overdosed after sniffing vicodin and percocet together in addition to drinking a couple glasses of wine. She went to the hospital this morning. I was just wondering what kind of medical attention she would be receiving for an overdose on sniffing such things?

The health care provider will measure and monitor your friends vital signs, including temperature, pulse, breathing rate, and blood pressure. your friends symptoms will be treated as appropriate. Your friend may receive:

* Activated charcoal
* Artificial respiration
* Fluids
* Laxative
* Medicine to lower acetaminophen levels in the blood
* Medicine to reverse the effect of the hydrocodone (narcotic)
* Tube through the mouth into the stomach to wash out the stomach

How long will THC,vicodin and percocet stay in my system?

I have a drug test on Monday for work and I smoked a little weed(about 5 hits) about a week and a half ago and have been taking percocet and vicodin almost everyday for almost two weeks. Both 10mg. Today I took one vicodin. Will I fail my test? I am 125lbs 20 years metabolism.

Typically THC will pass from your system in 20-30 days.
And most pills you take will be out in 72 hours.

But with your high metabolism and the fact that you’re only 125 lbs. I would say it would take around 10-20 days for the THC to leave your system, and the pills will probably still take about 48 hours.

What is almost like vicodin or percocet that I can buy in Nogales, Mexico pharmacy?

Can’t get scripts here in U.S. for painkiller in U.S. But I know the same ‘quality’ of pill doesn’t exist in Mexico for vicodin and percocet but anyone know if there is something along this line such as maybe soma? or ? please let me know. thanks guys.

A number of drugs often abused in the US were once sold over-the-counter in Mexico. Under pressure from the US, however, Mexico changed its policy. It is not now possible to get any of the scheduled or often-abused drugs — opiates, tranquilizers, muscle relaxants, etc. — in Mexico without a prescription.

Can a drug test tell the difference between percocet and vicodin?

My friend is taking percocet for his back.He ran out of percocet and bought some vicodin from one of our friends.He took a vicodin before his appointment (and all day before) and they tested him.The test came back that he had NO percocet in his system.Do they really have a test to determine you have specifically percocet in his body??If they do…seems very expensive.I just thought they test for the general ones like:opiate,cocaine,thc,etc.

The confirmation test (usually GC/MS, or LC/MS/MS) can tell the difference between chemically similar drugs.
LABs test 1) Initial Test (IMMUNOASSAY)
2)Confirmation test
Some labs do
3)Adulteration test (for cheating agents- bleach,Creatinine,Nitrite,etc )
The National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA) requires that companies test for five specific categories of drugs.
· Cocaine – Includes Cocaine, Crack and Benzoylecognine
· Cannabinoids – Includes Marijuana and Hash
· Amphetamines – Includes Speed, Methamphetamines and amphetamines
· Opiates – Includes Heroin, Opium, Codeine and Morphine
· Phencyclidine – PCP

Depending on what profession you are in or what business or governmental department you are required to take a drug test for, there may be expansion tests required. These test for additional drugs such as:

· Barbiturates
· Hydrocodone
· Mehqualone
· Benzodiazepines
· Methadone
· Propoxyphene
· Ethanol
· MDMA or Ecstasy

Drugs that can be tested for, but are not commonly tested for include:

· Tryptamines
· Phenethylamines
· Inhalants

What are the differences between Vicodin, Percocet, and Valium/Xanax?

i heard that most people get vicodin for their wisdom teeth pain, but i got percocet for some reason. supposedly it’s stronger than vicodin because it has oxycodein or somethin. and my mom says she takes a xanax every time before she goes to the dentist because she hates going there.

just wondering what their differences are?

Percoset IS stronger than hydrocodone, it all depends on your doctor what you get, though. Hydrocodone and percoset are opiates, meaning they allow the good feeling chemicals in our head to come rushing in all at once. Xanax and valium are anti anxiety drugs. (benzodiazepine). They’re all four narcotics and you should be really really careful not to become dependant on them-it happens quickly. Take the percs only as long as absolutely neccesary. If you become adddicted your brain will stop producing dopamine on it’s own, and you’ll get extremely depressed because you’ll no loner be able to naturally find joy in things…well i’m rambling now. Be careful! 🙂

When Percocet and Vicodin are no longer produced in the US what will I be prescribed?

I have read that Percocet and Vicodin, because of their Acetaminophen content, are going to be taken off the shelves. A recommendation has been given to the FDA to lower maximum does of Tylenol and other Acetaminophen products (from 1000 mg to 650 at a time) and totally do away with the opiate combination painkillers.

I would like to think that the primary pain medication would be prescribed which is oxycodone or hydrocodone minus the acetaminophen.

For those who may not be aware of this FDA thing here is a website with the article…

What is the price difference between Percocet and Vicodin?

I get 90 Vicodin prescribed by my Doctor every month. The problem is, that they no longer help. So I decided to ask for Percocet instead. I was wondering if someone could tell me how much of a difference is the price without a prescription. I’ve called around, but no pharmacy seems to want to give any info over the phone.

Without insurance, you’re looking at about 55 dollars for 90 percocet (assuming you take the generic that is offered). I recently purchased it uninsured for 16.49 for 30 percocets.
