Somewhere to get the drug “Revatio” cheaper?

My grandpa has heart issues, and his heart doctor wants to put him on Revatio. The problem is that his health insurance doesn’t cover it. The drug is $12 a pill! Even on an online Canadian pharmacy is was $12. He has to take 1.5 pills per day, and that’s a lot of money over time. Does anyone know of a place where such a drug can be found? Even Mexico would be fine, if someone actually thinks I could get it there.

Revatio is just Brand name of sildenafil, which is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension and improve exercise capacity in men and women. Do you know another brand name of sildenafil? Yes, it’s Viagra 🙂
So, you can buy it much cheaper using the link below.
Good luck!

I was diagonosed with pph. Can this be cured with medication? My Dr. gave me a prescription called Revatio

My Dr. gave me a prescription for revatio for this condition. Does anyone know if this is a progressive disease? Or life expectancy? Thank you

Pulminary hypertension is very manageable nowadays, with drugs like Revatio many patients don’t feel too out of sorts from their usual self.

Pulminary hypertension can be managed by managing your diet (like all high blood pressure), and as with other forms of high blood pressure is managed with drugs.

Also, ask your physician to give you an updated diagnosis, nobody refers to ‘Primary/Secondary Pulminary Hypertension’ anymore, the classifications are:

– Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH)

– Pulmonary hypertension associated with left heart disease

– Pulmonary hypertension associated with lung diseases and/or hypoxemia

– Pulmonary hypertension due to chronic thrombotic and/or embolic disease

Also, ask for all the treatment options to your form of pulmonary hypertension.

On the life expectancy issue, a few years ago, you’d have been lucky to live 10 years on, however, more and more people are pushing past this number, I hope you do to.

Any experience with Revatio? Pro and Con?

Recommended for husband’s Pulmonary Lung problem. This is a medication that has scary warnings (like most drugs do). I am genetically skeptical about drugs.

There are other drugs out there for pulmonary arterial hypertension however if his Doctor feels he needs it for his PAH and to improve exercise ability it might be worth it. Keep in mind that REVATIO contains sildenafil citrate, the same active ingredient found in Viagra (which is what Viagra was originally designed for) – he may have some “interesting” side effects.

The only serious warning is DO NOT TAKE WITH NITRATES (in other words if he has a heart attack and someone goes to stick a nitor pill under his togune stop them or tell them what med’s he is on) –
