Fetal Risk Summary


Methscopolamine is an anticholinergic quaternary ammonium bromide derivative of scopolamine (see also Scopolamine). In a large prospective study, 2,323 patients were exposed to this class of drugs during the 1st trimester, 2 of whom took methscopolamine (1). A possible association was found in the total group between this class of drugs and minor malformations.
