HAWAIIAN BABY WOOD ROSE

 Chapter: Entheogens

AKA: Argyreia nervosa, baby Hawaiian woodrose.

Despite its popular name, it is not a member of the rose family, but is a woody liana in the morning glory family.

Effects: Similar to that produced by morning glory seeds. It is said to take effect in an hour and can result in an LSD-like trip that lasts a few hours. It may be accompanied by a feeling of contentment that can linger for a few days. Contains the highest amount of lysergic acid amines of any of the morning glories (0.3 percent), as well as several other alkaloids.

In addition to Argyreia nervosa, a dozen other species of Argyreia contain lysergic acid amines (acuta, aggregata, barnesii, capitata, hainanensis, obtusifolia, osyrensis, pseudorubicunda, speciosa, splendens, and wallichii).

Precautions: The white fuzz on the seeds, containing strychnine, are removed (often with a toothbrush). Filtered, cold-water infusions of the ground seeds are said to prevent fewer hazards than ground seeds eaten whole. Extreme nausea might be the result of strychnine ingestion. According to William Emboden, side effects include a hangover characterized by blurred vision, vertigo, and physical inertia. High doses could result in death.

It should not be confused with the Hawaiian woodrose (Ipomoea tuberosa), which is not psychoactive.

Dosage: 4 to 8 seeds. Cleaned seeds are chewed and swallowed or ground into a powder and put in gelatin capsules.

Questions and Answers

Where can you buy hawaiian baby wood rose in canada ?,

These seeds can be very hard to find and your best bet would be to get them from an ethnobotanical and/or entheogen dealer online. Two trusted dealers are Shaman's Garden and the IAmShaman Shop, both offer a wide variety of strains and many different prices; however, please note that eating these seeds in many parts of the world is illegal, but in most parts, just having a possession is legal.

Eating hawaiian baby woodrose seeds aka LSA. It didn't work...what happened?, Ok, i got the seeds yesterday.A little paper came with it, and the paper says Argyreia Nervosa, than there is the name of the seeds below it. It says Baby Wood Rose, is there a type of seed just called baby wood rose? Or did they just not add the Hawaiian part, I bought them on amazon and the name is hawaiian baby woodrose seeds. So i guess this means they are Hawaiian baby woodrose seeds. Any way, my question is, why didn't they work? I took 14 of the seeds, put them in my coffee grinder, and grinded them up into a powder. I than put the powder on my tounge and washed it down with apple juice. Than i took a 4 hits of Salvia 35 extract. I than layed in bed, laughing my *** off because of the Salvia. Than i got up, realized i was extremely hungry. I went into the kitchen and ate canned spaghetti-o's. My stomach was empty when i took the seeds. Than about 180 mins later i realized, it wasn't working. For some odd reason i didn't get the nausia from the seeds. Maybe they aren't the real deal and just some fake seeds? So about 180 mins later i realized, it wasn't working. I have had experience with Morning Glory seeds, and that was fun as hell. I did not eat anything though after i took them. It was a nice trip on the Morning Glory seeds and it took about 180 mins for me to get the full effects of the LSA. Maybe I shouldn't of eaten after i took the seeds? Maybe i should hold off on the Salvia until the effects of the LSA actually kick in? So anyone know what could of happened that didn't allow me to trip? I will be taking 25 seeds tonight and see if that works. If not, oh well. I'll enjoy some good ol' herb and salvia.

Either you didn't get HBWR seeds or you got an India/Ghana strain of HBWR. Non-Hawaiian strains are supposed to be half as effective, but I've taken 30 Indian seeds with little effect. And yes, there is such a thing as baby woodrose.

As it happens, I ate 10 HBWR seeds last night and had a good sized meal afterward. Not very fun, but I guess my mind wasn't in the right place.

For future reference, you should crush the seeds and hold them under your tongue for 15 minutes. Also, 25 seeds of real HBWR is pretty risky.

I saw this recipe for homemade LSD. Is this viable?, Here is the recipe:

1. Grind up 150 grams of morning glory seeds or baby Hawaiian wood rose seeds.
2. In 130 cc. of petroleum ether, soak the seeds for two days.
3. Filter the solution through a tight screen.
4. Throw away the liquid, and allow the seed mush to dry.
5. For two days allow the mush to soak in 110 cc. of wood alcohol.
6. Filter the solution again, saving the liquid and labeling it "1".
7. Resoak the mush in 110 cc. of wood alcohol for two days.
8. Filter and throw away the mush.
9. Add the liquid from the second soak to the solution labeled "1".
10. Pour the liquid into a cookie tray and allow it to evaporate.
11. When all the liquid has evaporated, a yellow gum remains. This should be should be
scraped up and put into capsules.

No, I wouldn't even try it. LSD is derived from a cold weather mold which grows on rye. You also have to be careful about morning glory seeds, the ones you buy through nursery outlets are treated to prevent people from getting high, they'll make you sick. Methyl alcohol not good for you either.
