Fetal Risk Summary


Flosequinan is a systemic vasodilator used in the treatment of congestive heart failure. In rats and rabbits, the drug crosses the placenta to the fetus and has been measured in amniotic fluid (1). Fetotoxicity, including delayed calcification, intrauterine deaths, and low fetal viability have been observed in the two animal species. No reports describing the use of this agent in human pregnancy have been located.
