Fetal Risk Summary
No reports linking the use of diethylpropion with congenital defects have been located. The drug has been studied as an appetite suppressant in 28 pregnant patients and, although adverse effects were common in the women, no problems were observed in their offspring (1). A retrospective survey of 1,232 patients exposed to diethylpropion during pregnancy found no difference in the incidence of defects (0.9%) when compared to a matched control group (1.1%) (2). No impairment of fertility, teratogenicity, or fetotoxicity was observed in animal studies with doses up to 9 times those used in humans (3,4).
Breast Feeding Summary
Diethylpropion and its metabolites are excreted into breast milk (4). No reports of adverse effects in a nursing infant have been located.

Questions and Answers
Diethylpropion?, Hi, does anyone know about Diethylpropion aka Tenuate and Tenuate Dospan. do you know how high of dosage a person is allowed to take. A friend of mine who happends to suffer from obesity, actually ordered this stuff on line, and it comes in the strenght 75mg. I've researched to see if in fact that the strenght exists, and sure enough, all the online pharmacy have it... but I'm not sure if it's safe. does anyone know anything about this. Then when I went on WebMd I couldn't find the dosage 75mg only 25 mg.
The following healthy living recommendations will help you if you’re trying to lose weight, tone up your muscles, have aspirations of building lean muscle mass, are attempting to get a wash board stomach, or just want to feel better:
*1) Burn more calories then you're consuming everyday and measure your results using the following formula: Calories Consumed minus Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) minus Physical Activity minus the Thermic Effect of Food (TEF). A website that explains this formula in more detail and will help you determine how many calories you need to reach or maintain a certain weight is at http://www.primusweb.com/fitnesspartner/...
Get a diet and fitness calculator that you can put on your computer or cell phone. This will allow you to easily calculate the above formula, set goals, log your daily calorie consumption, and register your physical activities.
Set realistic goals for your ideal body weight. Here are two websites that will calculate a suggested body weight:

It is difficult and unhealthy to lose more than one or two pounds per week. There are 3,500 calories in a pound. If you eat 500 fewer calories per day for a week you will lose one pound. If you burn through exercise 500 more calories per day for a week you will lose one pound.
*2) Eat natural and organic foods found on earth versus something created by a corporation to make money. Eat meals in small portions throughout the day and take a good multi-vitamin supplement.
Avoid “High Glycemic Load Carbs” (sugar, pastries, desserts, refined starches such as breads, pasta, refined grains like white rice; high starch vegetables such as potatoes) and drink lots of water. Read this article for more information on high GL Carbs:

What happens if you take Rynatan and diethylpropion together?,
Rynatan is a combination of an antihistamine and a decongestant, chlorpheniramine and phenylephrine respectively. Drowsiness is the chief concern here. Diethylpropion is a controlled substance - a stimulant appetite suppresant. So, to answer your question. If both of these are taken at recommended dosages, nothing bad at all should happen, barring any kind of allergies. If anything, the Rynatan may alleviate any possible jitteriness of the stimulant, and the stimulant may help attenuate the drowsiness of the antihistamine. Be well.
Diethylpropion - did you drink while taking it?, Also the higher the dose the more weight you loose or not?
The pattern for losing weight is easy - consume less and exercise more - the problems arise when we actually try to put that into operation! There are lots of temptations out there aren't there?! The sole method which really worked for me is wu-yi tea, it can be seen in the resource box below, they have a few free trials left, it has been reported in Fox News and CNN. I melted away 20 pounds, it really does work!
Has anyone ever taken Diethylpropion? How did it work for you??,
From what I understand this is an appetite suppressant. What does that have to do with dentistry??????
Anybody tried Diethylpropion. ? Any good how should I expect to feel?, Been on Phentermine and have lost a stone, its not really working anymore so my doc has perscribed me this. Anybody tried it? Has it helped you lose weight.? Is it any different to phen?
i took it three years ago-(from dr.) and lost 30 pounds. i think it is a lot like phentermine. i had no problems with it, and have only gained back about 6 pounds-----but i have to really watch what i eat. good luck. 2 - 3 months----the first few weeks were slow then it really picked up. i was not hungry at all---but it did not stop me from eating---i did not snack at all which is my problem. have tried phentermine too, did not lile it.--made my heart race.

Where can I order Diethylpropion hydrochloride (tenuate dospan)?, I would like to find an online slimming clinic, or pharmacy that will deliver this slimming aid to the uk, can someone send me a link to such website?
thanks
This drug is not even available on prescription in UK. It was removed on safety grounds.
2 in 3 dieters using pills or fad diets end up gaining weight, so as well as risking your health, you are unlikely to sustain weight loss.
Diet + regular vigorous exercise is the only way that you are likely to succeed, the reason why most people don't is that they refuse to get off the couch!
