Why did I stop losing weight?, I used to be super skinny about 2 years ago when I was 17 and doing track. After I stopped track I gained 20 lb. Now I'm dieting and exercising again but the weight is hard to lose. Why did my metabolism slow down so much?
Your body is changing and will change even more as you get older. Your changing from a child to a woman. Our body changes every 7 years (give or take a year as we are all different)
The main thing for me is I am wondering why would you want to go back to being SUPER skinny a little meat on your bones is nice makes you shaplier (not saying you arent now or then) if you maintaine it and stay strong.

why did i stop losing weight on weight watchers?, I started weight watchers on sept 18, the first week and a half i lost about 5 or 6 pounds. Now i weigh myself every morning, and it wont change. I eat very healthy for the most part, and exercise evryday. Will it pick back up again, and will i start losing?? Any help
Well first off, weighing yourself daily is useless as your weight can fluctuate from day to day.
Secondly, as long as you're eating healthy and exercising, you should continue to lose weight. Stop weighing yourself so often and just focus on being healthy. That matters just as much if not more than dropping the weight.
Why did I stop losing weight all of a sudden?, I am a 29 year old male, 6' 206lbs. I have been working out for 12 weeks and I have lost 40 lbs. I jog or ride a stationary bike a minimum of once a day seven days a week for at least 50 mins a day with high resistance.
I have also completely changed the way I am eating. I have cut my calories down to about 1500 a day. I eat three healthy meals a day and light snacks throughout the day. I have been averaging 3-4 lbs a week since I have strated working out and dieting. the last couple weeks I have slowed down, two weeks ago I lost 2.5 lbs. Last week I worked really hard and only lost 1.3 lbs. this week was a good week and I gained a pound!
Now I know that people hit their plateau and muscle weighs more than fat, but my diet is good and I workout every single day, so when will I start losing weight again, or will I start losing again? I am looking for any advice I can get, I get easly frustrated and I still have 27 pounds till my goal weight so I don't want to quit. Please help!

Why did I stop losing weight??How to get over it?, I have lost about 9 pounds so far. However, in the past 3 weeks I have not lost a single thing! I am 5'6'' 132 and my goal is 127! I eat 1500 calories per day (high fiber/protein) and I exercise 30-40 min daily switching between walking, jogging, and biking. I then do an extra 10 minutes at night time jumping rope and jumping jacks.
I am already on a low calorie diet, I exercise for a total or 40-50 min 7 days a week. Should I decrease calories even more? How low?

I was losing weight, why did I stop?, I have been on a mission to lose weight for the summer. For the past month and a half, I have been eating very healthy and exersizing about 5 to 6 times a week. I run/walk a mile and do alittle toning. In the first week, I did not lose any pounds (body was getting use to working out), and the next few weeks I lost about 6-7 pounds. Great! I continued everything I have been doing, but for the past week, my muscles are very sore and Im not losing anymore weight? Can someone tell me why?
you hit a plateau. It's really common at about the 4-5 week range. You need to alter your routine. Your body is getting used to the same activity. Switch the time of day you exercise, and I recommend doing it first thing in the morning. It wakes your body up, and kicks your metabolism in high gear for the day (which will burn calories on its own).
How can my boyfriend stop losing weight, he is worried?, My boyfriend recently went to jail and gets out on work release and he has been losing weight way too fast, 20 lbs in 3 weeks, he had to stop smoking marijuana when he went in there which is why I think he is losing weight so fast, but he eats a lot and he is always tired and exhausted, usually when u quit pot you loose weight cuz you aren't eating as much, but he eats and is sometimes still hungry. Could it be something else besides the pot, could it be stress? How could we stop it?
If he is losing that much weight with no visible cause, he had better go see a doctor. Unexplained weight loss could be the sign of a serious underlying condition.
This forum is good for advice, but it is no replacement for knowledge and common sense. Only a physician could give you a real answer.
How do I stop losing weight?, I'm 16, 5'3 and 100 pounds. I've been steadily losing weight all summer (I used to be 115) and I want it to stop. I honestly don't know why I lost this weight because I eat a ton of cakes and pies and cookies and fried food. I go to the gym every day, but that should make me bulk up on muscle, not lose weight. I'm a vegetarian but I don't want to switch to meat. I don't want togain weight either, but I want to stop shrinking and stay at 100 pounds.
It's definitely not good that you're skipping your period right now-that can lead to permanent inferitility and osteoporosis. I suggest making sure that you're really getting enough protein in your diet because vegetarians get their protein from foods less dense in protein so they have to eat more of it. If that doesn't help, see your doctor.
How do I maintain my weight and stop losing?, I'm 18 years old and 5'2". I recently went on a diet and exercise plan. I went from 130 to 105 in about 3 months! I would like to know the best way to maintain and stop losing weight?
Eat healthy and exercise. Your metabolism will adjust with time.
Is it true if you exercise alot that your body will stop losing weight?, someone told me if i continue doing 2+ hours a day that my body will shut down and prevent me from losing weight. is this true? i just started exercising again last monday at 40 mins, then went to 2 hours+ saturday till yesterday.
im 19/m 5'11 233 pounds now, (lost 7 woo!) i dont want to stop though so i did an hour today. Is that enough? and is it true ill stop losing weight if exercising that much?
Yes, you will eventually reach a weight loss plateau, especially if you don't mix up your routine, varying the muscles you use, doing aerobic and weight work, etc. ALSO, if you do not eat at least some fat and enough food in general, especially when you are heavily exercising. your body will retain a certain level of fat because your body does need some - - just choose "good" fats. So it's partly about how much you exercise and partly about your nutritional intake.
I'm a former personal trainer with a certain level of education on appropriate diet. Read up on exercise, but find a registered dietician / nutritionist to go over YOUR personal dietary needs, they are WAY more informed than anybody in a gym about proper nutritional intake for weight loss and for dietary needs when doing serious exercise and will help you deal with that aspect of your body hanging on to weight.
