When does allergy season start in Dallas Fort Worth, Texas?, I have heard that the allergies in DFW are the worst in the world... my friend had only mild allergies here and got an allergy shot. He said he was fine for 25 years, then he went to DFW right in the middle of allergy season and it totally messed him up. I need to come out there for 2 weeks and I am wondering when is the best time to go.. March 28 to April 11 ....... or April 25 to May 09......... I am also worried about heat. I am going to be doing intense training and want to know when it starts to get hot?? (To me, higher than 70 is hot and higher than 80 is almost unbearable)

I'm afraid the rumors are all true. Allergy season isn't a 'season' at all in Dallas; they're a year-long fact of life.

I were you, I'd opt for the March through April window that you mentioned. If you're lucky, you might still have some freezing temperatures in late March, thereby lowering the pollen count. This is unlikely though, as average temps in Dallas are typically in the 80's by then.

The heat, however, won't get unbearably bad until the summer, so at least you're in good shape on that one!

You should find that allergy seasons are very similar to here in the States. Take into account that if you are spending most of your time in London or Paris there won't be much ragweed though.

I have similar allergies and lived in England for a couple years. I expected my allergies to be much worse than they were in Michigan, where I grew up, but to my surprise they didn't bother me at all.

Because it kinda acts like Vicks vapor rub - there is so much mint in the gum that it has the same effect. When you chew it, it is opening up your sinuses because you are smelling the Mint in the gum.

Jason: It really depends on what types of pollen to which you are allergic. Usually the first to offend are the trees, then they are followed by grasses. You can go to Pollen.Com and get the pollen forecast for your ZIP code. There is not much you can do but stay inside, keep doors and windows shut, and take a loratadine if the symptoms are bad.
This too will pass....it does every year.

When it's allergy season for me my face has started to break out bad, please any reason why?!!?, Within the past seven years I have developed allergies. I know the reason for them is because of the ragwood trees. But just within the past three years my face has startedt o break out really bad on the sides of my face. And it just happens when it's fall. My allergies will start by the middle of next month so I am looking for any input so I can have a better allergy season without the breakout!! At first they are not even pimples or blackheads these are almost like a white head. And if I do leave them there they don't go away, and whenn it does turn into a pimple it takes a lot longer than a normal pimple would to go away. I have tried all the store bought pimple fighting creams. Anyone else have this same problem and if so what do you do?

Yes I did have the same problem..and I feel your pain in the worse way. What it took for me was to go to a dermatologist. Store bought creams don't have enough medication in them to do the trick, plus your going to need an anti-inflamatory. It sounds like your allergic to the chemical itself within the ragweed. I am not sure what the weather is like in India but in the United States The pollen season can last from January through October. Generally, the further north you live, the later in the spring it starts. In southern states, the pollen season can begin as early as January. I hope this helps in any way.
