How many grams of fat should a woman trying to lose weight eat per day?, I have already lost 35 lbs and currently weight 187. I have 45lbs to go for my goal weight. I exercise 5-6 times a week and have been eating healthier than i used to. but I wonder, what is the amount of fat I could eat a day and still lose weight?

Recommended amount for loosing body fat is around 20-30% of the number of kcals you consume

I.e. If you eat 1500kcal for best fat loss results you should aim to be only consuming 30-45g of fat.

A big misconception is all fat is bad. You should avoid foods that are high in Saturated fats, generally Processed foods/Cakes/sweets etc

You should try and fill the e.g 30-45g of fat with Good Fats

The Best Fats you should eat would be:

Fish (Tuna is great, as it has incredibly low amounts of fat)
Soya Beans (Is a great source of Protein, again very good on the fats)
Nuts: Nuts are considered Good fats, but only in moderation, as most of the are quite high in fat, Soya roasted beans is low in fat, and perfect for a snack.

Typically most pulses and beans are good when replacing bad fats. e.g Red Lentils/Green lentils, Red Kidney beans etc

why do I need to eat healthy to lose weight?, I count calories and I just figure... why can't I just eat the amount of calories I allow myself to eat to lose weight eating what I want and excercise.... like why is fried food so bad? I still don't understand that if you eat a little bit of it or any other food... why is it bad? Any help? I need to lose 15lbs...

the problem with fried food is that it is bad for your overall health. it offers no good nutrients, way too many calories, bad carbs, too much salt, and it will ultimately slow you down. your body will naturally boost its metabolism by eating properly and sticking to a balanced diet of vegetables, grains, dairy, and protein. ultimately, eating healthy offers less fat than fried food.

How many calories can I eat to lose weight?, I am 17, 5'10". I am about 195. I want to get around 165. How many calories should I consume each day so that I can get to this goal. Also does it change if I do some weight training and cardio 5-6 days a week. Also some foods that I should eat would be helpful. for a completely sedentary person your height weight you are looking at around 1300 to 1500 calorie a day diet to lose weight. If you start working out you will need more than that, around 1700 to 1900 per day. Eat a well balanced diet, generally high protein foods and vegetables, stay away from carbs and sugars and be persistent. It will come off in the end.

You should try to consume about 500 calories less than your Resting Metabolic Rate. BUT not less than 1000. Here are some formulas to estimate your Resting Metabolic Rate

For men, the RMR. =
66.5 + (13.75 x kg) + (5.003 x cm) - (6.775 x age)
For women, the RMR =
655.1 + (9.563 x kg) + (1.850 x cm) - (4.676 x age)

One thing you need to be really careful about is that in cutting your calories you don't also cut your Nutrition. Make sure you are still recieving the Vitamins, Minerals, Herbs, Protien, Fiber and other essential nutrients.

How to lose weight and what foods to eat?, Ok, I'm not really fat or just a little chubby I'm fine but I still want to lose some weight. And I want to help my Dad. *cold drink (included cold freshwater, believe me!!)
*fastfood (max once a week)
*junkfood (max once per 2 weeks)

* white part of an egg
* red part of meat (beef)
*white part of meat (chicken)
*drink a glass of coconut sugar water (serves warm, believe me!!!)
*Fiber rich food

activity:
*try to reach your own knees with your mouth evryday while your legs strecthed (to stay elastic)
*routine exercise with proffesional personal trainer
