Isn't Obama cutting 100 mill off the budget equal to throwing a deck chair off the titanic to cut its weight?, Thanks in advance for your answers. God bless.
Very good analogy, and yes it would, but I think our bow is already underwater.
What is the best way to cut weight for high school wrestling?, Its about a month until season i weigh 147 and want to wrestle 140 maybe 135. I have never cut weight before. I am 5'10'' and have a body fat % around 7%. I want to know how i can cut before wrestling season while at least maintaining my current strength level, if not getting stronger
Excess weight cutting hurts the great sport of wrestling.
I wrestled and my son was a high school state champ and now wrestles in college. I've seen effects of excessive weight cutting and strongly caution against it.
In the state I live in high school students are not eligible to wrestle weight classes where their bodyfat is below 7%. That is where you are now.
My son never cut more than a few lbs in any year in high school. In his senior year, he was in-between two weight classes and wrestled up and won big.
You need to leave room for your body to grow. You should be thinking of wrestling at 145. Can't you beat the guy at that weight?
My best recommendation is to talk with your coach about what is best for you and your team.
How do I cut Weight for wrestling?, I weigh135lbs and want to get to 119. I have 3 weeks to cut the weight. I figure I can lose about 5lbs in water. How do I lose the remaining 11 pounds easily, without having to starve myself? What are some secrets to cuttting weight?
I cut from 135 to 119 during this past wrestling season.
The best way I did was a special vegetable soup diet that you can find online, probably through google.
What you really need is a solid drill partner and mat time, thats the easiest way to cut weight. Dont worry about running, it takes more energy to wrestle then it does to run, and its easier to sweet. I pratice in a t-shirt, a long sleeve shirt, and a hoodie to lose the most weight.

btw im 17 years old male. i used to workout and planning on working out again.
im 17 yr old guy too.
best way to do this is to be disciplined. watch what you eat. u dont hav to starve yourself, just dont ridiculously overload.
drink a large glass of water in the morning after you wake up, you're dehydrated from sleeping for (hopefully) at least 8 hrs. sleep a good amount.
running and lifting are the best things you can possibly do
How do fighters cut weight safely?, What techniques do athletes such as fighters, wrestlers, bodybuilders, etc use to SAFELY cut weight? How do you dehydrate without getting too dehydrated?
Most fighters lose the weight via water weight whether its by sitting in a Sauna with a lot of cloths or piling towels on them so they sweat a lot. Most weigh ins occur 12-24 hours before the fight, after the weigh in the fighters generally re hydrate their systems.
How to cut weight for wrestling?, I am trying to cut weight for high school wrestling and my weight class right now is 189 and im trying to cut to 171 weight class. how can I cut down to that weight class in a month? Im 5'9.5 I have 22.3% body fat as of right now i weight 187
you can buy water pills. It basically takes the water out of your body so you weigh less. My friend in wrestling used though.
also try to sweat a lot. When you work out (running) wear like 3 layers of sweats.
other than that, you gotta lose muscle mass, trying doing more reps so you get more lean rather than bigger.
I weigh 143 right now and i want to know if I can cut weight?, I'm a wrestler and I weigh 143 pounds. I want to know if I can cut weight and be possibly 135 by mid-November. I have 8% body fat. Use your immagination cuz it doesn't have to be healthy it just has to work.
Well there's always the cabbage diet??!!! As a former wrestler my own female self, do it the healthy way!! any other option could throw u off!! Walk and run go to practices..... cut ur portions down or eat smaller more healthy meals.... Mid-Nov is a long way off, I believe you'll drop it quick.....
How do you lose weight, cut calories, and not have food stored as fat at the same time?, I've always heard that if you lower your calories, your body will store everything you eat as fat. I'm so confused. Is this a myth? How do you cut calories and lose weight without that happening?
I was struggling with the same issue for the longest
time. I just couldn’t get to the weight where I would
be happy.
But i found this link which helped me do the impossible possible.

Workout tips, for someone who wants to cut weight.?, I'm pretty satisfied with my current size and strength, but I would like to cut my weight as far as extra fat goes (so that i'm more "cut"). I know of course to eat healthier, but I also want to start running often. Can anyone give me tips on how often to run, or maybe something else I may not know of. Thanks.
In order to get that "cut" appearance you have to "Eat Clean". That means you have to stay away from processed foods and fast foods; eat a diet high in protein, low in fat, high complex carbohydrates and low in sodium; drink at least 2 liters of water but no more than a gallon a day; take a multivitamin and glutamate supplement. Oatmeal or porridge and eggs are going to be your staple so stock up on those items.
As far as exercise, you would want to lift more weights than do cardio. I thought that doing a lot of running or cardiovascular exercises and little weight lifting would help me lose weight and fat but it didn't do anything. When I changed my exercise routine, I focused more on weight lifting and resistance training with few days of cardio and saw results immediately. In a typical week I try to lift weights or do resistance training 3-4 days a week and do cardio 2 days a week. Try to increase your weight load or reps every 2 weeks since the body easily gets use to a particular routine. Never lift weights back to back; always give your body at least 48 hours to recuperate. My schedule is as follows: Monday, Wednesday, Friday I lift weights and do resistance exercises (lunges, squats, push-ups, sit-ups, crunches, etc) 60 mins each day. Tueday and Thursday I run on treadmill or elliptical machine 45-60 mins; you can take an aerobics class or bike as another option for cardio. Saturdays if I feel up to it I might do a class or run for 30-45 mins and do weights another 30-45 mins.
Hope this helps!
