should your weight determine your amount of water to drink?, i have asthma and to stay hydrated i drink half my body weight in water per day?which is about 70ozs is that too much?it seems when i drink less i start feeling dry, but could that be from albuterol iam taking?
70 oz is NOT too much. In fact, it's just half a glass above the daily recommended amount (8 8-oz glasses = 64 oz). I try to drink as much water as possible. Unless you sit down and drink two gallons in an hour, you don't have much threat of getting water poisoning. I try to drink about a gallon (128 oz) throughout each day. Just spread it out. Drink an 8 oz glass every hour.

What is the best way to determine your ideal body weight without an specialized tools?, I am well aware of the many BMI calculators but I was wondering if there were any other ways of determining your ideal body weight? I just don't feel like the BMI calculators are accurate as they don't account for many factors.
The best way to determine your ideal body weight is to look in the mirror. If you like what you see, then your weight is ok. If you don't, then do what you need to do to change it.
What is the best way to determine your ideal weight?, There are many contradictory methods presented on the web about what weight is healthiest for what height and what sex you are. For example, I am 6' 1" and according to the median score on a BMI calculator I found from the CDC, the median BMI for "normal weight" is 21.7. In order for me to get down to that BMI score, I would have to weigh 164.5 pounds. I am 200 pounds right now, and look and feel slender. Is it really necessary for me to lose 36 pounds to be healthy? What insights do you all have?
BMI's do not take into account the fact that some people are muscular. I'm 220 lbs and technically severely obese according to the BMI, but I lift weights vigorously and people assume by looking at me that I cannot weigh more than 180 lbs. Find your body fat percent and that will tell you if you're overweight. I believe that anything more than 20% is obese in males.

Will weight determine your height ?, I wanted to know if your weight will determine how tall you are. If you are over weight will you end up being shorter or taller or does weight have no effect on you height?
no, genetics plays more of a role. your bones are meant to grow so much, and they will. You will have growth hormone released and your bones will lengthen. It doesn't matter if you way 100 or 180, as long as you have proper nutrition, you will grow
how does the dr determine the weight of your baby?, I keep hearing ppl talk about how much their babies weigh,, before they are born,, and stuff,, and my dr hasn't mentioned anything to me yet about how big or how much my baby is weighting, ( I'm 35 wks) I was just curious if anyone knows how they tell that? Is there any thing I can do at home to try and figure it out?

How does weight watchers determine how many points a day you should have?,
They added a quiz it is not just based on your weight anymore. It is also based on your gender, work type, height, and age.
It is properitary so I shouldn't post the exact forumla but you can get close by doing this.
If you are a female (and not nursing) take the first 2 digits of your weight and add 3 or 4. If you are nusing add 13 more... If you are a male add 10 or 11. That should get close, but remember if you are under 18 you get 18 or over 44 you get 44.
The best way to get it is to register online and they will tell you, or wait untill they have free registaration again (which they do from time to time (normally $20) and go to a meeting and they will give you all the week one stuff for the cost of one meeting ($12).
